How to Hold B Site on Mirage as CT

Updated October 10, 2026 · MyCS2Guru crew

B site on Mirage is small and close to T entrances, which makes it scary to hold. But with good positions and utility, two CTs can hold it until help arrives.

  2. Hold safe positions. Don't over-peek.
  3. Call numbers.
  4. Fall back if overwhelmed.

Retakes

Gather in Market and Kitchen. Flash onto site. Smoke Apartments to cut off Ts. Retake together.

Common mistakes

  1. Peeking Apartments without a flash.
  2. No calls.
  3. Holding alone too long.
  4. Retaking one by one.

Practice drill

Practice the Apartments molotov and flash re-peek.

Example round

You hear a rush in Apartments. You molly the exit and HE the group. Two Ts take damage. You fall back to Market and call "Four B, two damaged." Your rotators arrive, you flash the site and retake together. Round won.

Step-by-step B hold

  1. Early round: the B anchor takes a safe position with a molotov ready for the Apartments exit.
  2. Listen for Apartments. Footsteps on the wooden floor are loud. Call numbers as soon as you hear them.
  3. Delay with utility. Molotov the Apartments exit and HE if they're grouped.
  4. Fall back if heavy. If three or more Ts come, fall back toward Market or Kitchen and call for help.
  5. Retake together. Wait for your rotator and retake with utility.

What the Ts will try

Ts will rush Apartments, take Short from mid or fake B to pull rotations. Listen carefully and only rotate when there's real pressure. Pair this lesson with our Mirage callouts.

Practice tip

Learn the Apartments molotov from Market and Van. Throw it ten times in a row until it lands every time. Then practice falling back and retaking with your rotator.

Example round

The Ts rush Apartments with five players. Your molotov at the exit stops them for a few seconds, your HE damages two, and instead of fighting alone you fall back to Market and call for help. Your rotator arrives through Short, and together you retake the site with a flash. Five Ts beaten by smart, patient play.
