CS2 Gambling Sites With Rakeback: How It Works and What It's Worth
Updated · By the MyCS2Guru Editorial Team

Bro, rakeback is one of those words that sounds like free money. It's not, but it is real value if you play anyway. In CS2 gambling, rakeback means the site hands back a slice of the house edge you've already paid. We'll explain how it works, show exactly what CSGOEmpire returns according to its own help centre, cover what Clash.gg offers, and run the numbers so you know what it's actually worth.
What rakeback actually is
Every game has a house edge, the slice the site keeps on average. Rakeback returns part of that slice to you based on how much you wager. Key points:
- It's based on wagers, not losses. Win or lose, each bet adds to it.
- It reduces the edge; it never removes it.
- It usually comes back over time (daily, weekly or by level), not instantly.
Think of it like a loyalty discount on a game you'd play anyway. The more transparent a site is about how it calculates rakeback, the easier it is to know what you're really getting.

CSGOEmpire: the daily case pool
Empire is the clearest example because its help centre publishes the exact rules. It replaced its old daily coins with daily cases, and here's how they work:
- 25% of the house edge on roulette, cases, battles and coinflip bets goes into your daily case pool.
- Match bets add 5% of the house edge.
- Every 24 hours you can open a low, medium or high-risk case, or cash out 90% of your daily claim instantly.
- Your daily claim is 5% of your pool. Miss a day and you lose that day's 5%.
The help centre's own examples:
| 100 coins bet on | House edge | Added to pool |
|---|---|---|
| Roulette | 6.66% | 1.665 coins |
| Cases or case battles | 8.8% | 2.2 coins |
| Coinflip | 0.5% | 0.125 coins |
| Match betting | Varies | 0.2 coins |
What that means in practice
On roulette, the expected loss on 100 coins is 6.66 coins, and 1.665 of that goes into your pool, a quarter. So your effective edge drops from 6.66% toward about 5%, as long as you keep claiming daily. On cases, the 8.8% edge falls toward 6.6%. On coinflip the edge is so low (0.5%) that rakeback barely matters.
Because you only claim 5% of the pool per day, the pool pays back slowly. Claim every day or you lose that day's share. Taking the 90% cash-out means a guaranteed amount with a 10% haircut; opening the risk cases is a gamble on top of a gamble.

Clash.gg: rewards stack
Clash.gg's rewards system includes rakeback alongside levels, daily cases and Rain. Clash.gg doesn't publish a full rakeback rate table on its rewards page, and the rates reported by third-party reviews aren't something we can confirm from the site, so we won't quote them as fact. Here's what Clash.gg's own pages and rules do confirm:
- Free Play (Rain): every 30 minutes, a pot of 2,500 Coins and 25 Gems plus a percentage of Coin purchases is split among participants, weighted by what each staked. You need Level 10+ or completed KYC.
- Levels: you progress by what you spend on cases, which unlocks more missions.
- Missions: tasks like joining the Discord, winning a battle or reaching a level pay Gems.
- Loan levels: the rewards page says you can loan your levels for Gems, from a minimum level of 30.
- Daily KYC case and the Gold Coins faucet (1,000 Gold Coins whenever you run out).
- Free cases through our link, with no code needed.
Our Clash.gg rakeback and rewards guide goes into each one.
Rakeback vs other "free value"
| Type | How you get it | Needs wagering? |
|---|---|---|
| Rakeback / daily pool | Share of house edge on bets | Yes |
| Sign-up free case | New account (Empire: FREECASES4U) | No |
| Rain / Free Play | Split pot every 30 minutes (Clash.gg) | Level 10 or KYC |
| Level rewards | Levelling up | Yes |
| Leaderboard races | Top wagerers win prizes | Yes, heavily |
| Referral commission | Players you refer | Their wagering |
The free items with no wagering attached are the best value. Rakeback is a nice bonus if you'd play anyway.
Worked example: a month of roulette on Empire
Say you wager 3,000 coins on Empire roulette over a month.
- Expected loss at 6.66%: about 200 coins.
- Added to your daily pool: 25% of that, about 50 coins.
- If you claim daily and take the 90% cash-out, you get back a bit under 50 coins over time, depending on how the pool drains.
So your expected loss drops from about 200 to about 150 coins. That's real, but you're still down on average. Rakeback is a discount, not a profit.
How to judge rakeback on any CS2 site
When a site advertises rakeback, ask:
- What percentage, and of what? "10% rakeback" means very different things if it's 10% of wagers (huge, rarely real) or 10% of the house edge (small).
- Is it published by the site or only by affiliates?
- How is it paid? Instantly, daily, weekly or on level-up? Is there an expiry?
- Are there wagering requirements on the rakeback itself?
- Do all games count? Some exclude low-edge games.
- Who runs the site? A named operator and terms page are the minimum.
If you can't answer these from the site's own pages, treat the advertised number as marketing.
Rakeback on esports match betting
If you bet on CS2 matches rather than playing casino-style games, rakeback works a little differently. On Empire, match bets add only 5% of the house edge to your daily pool, compared with 25% for roulette, cases and coinflip. The help centre's example is 0.2 coins added per 100 coins bet. Match betting XP is also different: 25 XP per coin on singles and Bet Builder, 50 XP on combo or system bets, and 0 XP on free money, no-risk and refunded bets.
So for bettors, rakeback is a minor perk. What matters more is getting good odds and avoiding bad bets. Our CS2 betting odds guide explains how to read them.
Rakeback traps to avoid
- Wagering more to "earn" rakeback. You lose more than you get back.
- Choosing high-edge games for bigger rakeback. A bigger pool on cases comes from a bigger loss.
- "Rakeback codes" from strangers. Rakeback is a site feature, not something you buy.
- Missing claims. On Empire, a missed daily claim is gone for good.
Which site is better for rakeback?
| CSGOEmpire | Clash.gg | |
|---|---|---|
| Published rakeback rule | Yes: 25% of edge to daily pool | Rewards page; no full rate table |
| Lowest-edge game | Coinflip 0.5% | Not published as a single figure |
| Other free value | Sign-up free case, XP bonus cases | Free cases via our link, Rain, missions |
| US players | Blocked | Most states (some excluded) |
If you want transparent, published rakeback, CSGOEmpire's daily case pool is the easier one to understand. If you're in the US or want lots of free stuff without depositing, Clash.gg's rewards and free cases make more sense.
Bottom line
Rakeback is a slice of the house edge returned to you, never a way to beat it. CSGOEmpire publishes its system clearly: 25% of the edge into a daily pool, 5% claimable per day. Clash.gg offers rakeback alongside Rain, missions and levels. Use rakeback as a bonus on play you'd do anyway. Compare more options in our CS2 gambling sites guide.
18+ only. Rakeback doesn't change the fact that gambling loses money over time. Set limits and see our responsible gambling page.
