CSGOEmpire Withdraw Rules and Wager Requirement, Explained With Examples
Updated · By the MyCS2Guru Editorial Team

Nothing kills a winning session faster than a withdrawal you didn't know was locked, bro. CSGOEmpire's rules are actually simple once you see them laid out: one wager requirement for crypto, none for skins, KYC at a known threshold, and trade timers for P2P skins. This page explains every CSGOEmpire withdrawal rule and the wager requirement, with worked examples so you know exactly where you stand. Methods overview: CSGOEmpire withdrawals and deposits.
The rules at a glance
| Rule | Details (per CSGOEmpire help centre) |
|---|---|
| Skin withdrawals | No wagering, ever. Withdraw "instantly and at any point". |
| Crypto after skin deposits | No wagering needed |
| Crypto after cash/crypto deposits | Wager the full deposit amount first |
| Crypto-exchange use | Can get crypto withdrawals and tips disabled |
| KYC | Usually after 4,500 coins of crypto withdrawals in total |
| Auction trades | Seller 30 min to send, buyer 30 min to accept |
| Non-auction trades | 12 hours each side |
| Cancelling | Normal withdrawals maybe after 30 min if unsent; auctions never |
| Selling skins | Coins can take up to 8 days (Steam trade protection) |

The wager requirement, explained
Empire says it's not a crypto exchange. So if you deposit with cash or crypto, you need to wager the full amount of that deposit before withdrawing crypto. If you'd rather not wager, you can withdraw skins instead, which has no requirement.
Wagering means betting it on games or matches. It doesn't mean you have to lose it; it means it has to be put in play.
Worked examples
| Scenario | Deposit | Wagered | Can withdraw crypto? | Can withdraw skins? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A | 100 coins crypto | 0 | No | Yes |
| B | 100 coins crypto | 60 | Not yet (40 to go) | Yes |
| C | 100 coins crypto | 100 | Yes | Yes |
| D | 100 coins from skins | 0 | Yes | Yes |
| E | 50 crypto + 50 skins | 50 | Yes (crypto part wagered) | Yes |
Scenario E follows the logic of the rule (only cash/crypto deposits need wagering); if anything looks off on your account, Empire's support can confirm your remaining requirement.
Step-by-step: checking you're ready to withdraw crypto
- Add up cash/crypto deposits since your last withdrawal.
- Check your wagered total in your account history.
- If wagered ≥ deposits, you're clear on the wager rule.
- Check KYC status: if you've withdrawn ~4,500 coins via crypto in total, expect an ID Verification tab.
- Pick a cheap coin/network (see CSGOEmpire fees).
- Withdraw, double-checking the address.

KYC: what Empire asks for
Per the help centre, KYC checks are run through an automated provider and usually triggered after 4,500 coins of crypto withdrawals in total (sometimes earlier if security flags it). You'll need:
| Document | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Proof of ID | Live picture of passport, driver's licence or ID card |
| Proof of address | Live picture or PDF of a bank statement or utility bill showing full name and address, issued in the last 90 days |
An ID Verification tab appears on your profile when it's needed. More: CSGOEmpire KYC.
Skin withdrawal rules (P2P)
Empire's marketplace is player to player, with no site bots. That means rules about timing:
- Auction trades: seller has 30 minutes to send, buyer 30 minutes to accept. Neither can cancel once active. If a buyer doesn't act within 30 minutes, the trade is automatically marked completed.
- Non-auction trades: 12 hours each side, no cancelling once active.
- Coins are taken when you bid or withdraw, and returned only if the trade fails.
- Seller info: check the online indicator (active in last 10 minutes), delivery rate (last 10 and 100 deposits) and average delivery time before withdrawing.
- Cancelling: a normal withdrawal may be cancellable after 30 minutes if the seller hasn't sent it and you have Trade Tracking enabled. Auction withdrawals can't be cancelled. Cancelled items are relisted.
Trade protection rules
Steam made trades reversible for 7 days. Empire's response:
- Sellers: coins can take up to 8 days to arrive, so the buyer keeps the item before you're paid.
- Buyers: you can equip and play with the item, but can't trade, sell, consume or modify it during the window.
- Reversals: funds are held, so a reversed trade is handled like a dispute. Anyone who reverses a trade is permanently banned from the marketplace.
Instant credit softens this for sellers: CSGOEmpire instant deposit.
Common withdrawal mistakes
| Mistake | Fix |
|---|---|
| Depositing crypto to "park" it, then withdrawing crypto | Not allowed without wagering; withdraw skins or wager first |
| Ignoring KYC until a big win | Prepare documents early |
| Withdrawing from offline sellers | Check the online indicator and delivery stats |
| Missing the 30-min auction window | Only bid when you can accept quickly |
| Withdrawing on the wrong network | Match coin and network to your wallet |
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto withdraw greyed out | Wager requirement not met | Wager remaining amount, or withdraw skins |
| Crypto withdrawals disabled | Flagged as exchange use | Contact support |
| ID Verification tab appeared | KYC threshold reached | Submit documents |
| Skin not arriving | Seller hasn't sent | Wait for the timer; cancel later if allowed |
| Account under manual review | Security check | Contact support |
Why the wager rule exists
Without it, people could deposit stolen cards or dirty crypto, skip playing and withdraw clean crypto: classic money laundering. Requiring the full deposit to be wagered makes the site useless as an exchange, which is exactly what Empire's terms say it isn't. It's a common rule across gambling sites, and Empire's version is one of the simpler ones: 1x, no bonus-style multipliers.
Wager requirement vs bonus wagering
| Empire deposit wagering | Typical casino bonus wagering | |
|---|---|---|
| Multiplier | 1x deposit | Often 20x–40x bonus |
| Applies to | Cash/crypto deposits, for crypto withdrawals | Bonus funds |
| Skins route | Withdraw skins anytime, no wagering | Usually none |
| Difficulty | Low | High |

Tips to clear the requirement sensibly
- Don't over-bet to clear it fast. Wager at your normal stakes.
- Low-edge games cost less to clear. Wagering 100 coins on coinflip costs ~0.5 coins on average vs ~8.8 on cases.
- Remember it's 1x. Once you've wagered your deposit amount, you're done for that deposit.
- Or withdraw skins. No wagering at all; sell them elsewhere if you want cash.
Quick reference
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Wager needed for skins? | Never |
| Wager needed for crypto? | Yes, 1x cash/crypto deposits |
| KYC threshold | ~4,500 coins crypto withdrawn |
| Auction trade time | 30 min each side |
| Normal trade time | 12 hours each side |
Skin withdrawals: picking a reliable seller
Because every skin withdrawal is a real player sending an item, the seller matters. Before you click withdraw:
| Signal | Where | What good looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Online indicator | Bottom-left of item card | Online (active in last 10 min or using a listing bot) |
| Delivery rate | Seller info | High completion over last 10 and 100 deposits |
| Delivery time | Seller info | Short average over last 10 and 100 |
An offline seller with a low delivery rate is how you end up waiting 12 hours for a trade that never comes.
Trade punishments
Empire enforces its timers. Failing to complete an auction trade in the 30 minutes you're given results in a trade punishment, per the help centre. As a seller, only list items when you can send them; as a buyer, only bid when you can accept.
