Clash.gg Not Loading? Here's How to Get It Working Again
Updated · ·

You click over to Clash.gg for a couple of cases and get nothing. A white screen, a logo that spins forever, a case that never finishes opening, or a deposit window with an empty inventory. Frustrating, bro, but in almost every case the fix is on your side and takes a couple of minutes. This guide shows you how to work out what's actually broken, then fix it in the right order so you're not wasting time on stuff that won't help.
One thing to get straight first. If Clash.gg shows you a message saying the site isn't available in your location, that isn't a loading problem. It's the site following its own rules about where it can operate. We won't help you dodge that, and you shouldn't try: the rules can let them close accounts that get around restrictions. Everything else on this page is fair game.
Step zero: is it you or is it them?
Before you touch a single setting, spend thirty seconds on the one test that tells you where the problem lives.
- Grab your phone, switch Wi-Fi off and open clash.gg on mobile data.
- If it loads fine there, Clash.gg is up and the problem is your computer, your browser or your home network.
- If it fails on your phone too, it's probably on Clash.gg's side or with a service it depends on. Skip down to the "when it's not your fault" section.
That single check saves a ton of pointless cache clearing. Most people skip it and end up reinstalling their browser for an outage that fixes itself in twenty minutes.

The quick fix list
If the site loads on your phone but not your PC, run through these in order. Stop as soon as it works.
- Hard refresh. Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Linux, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac. This forces your browser to fetch fresh files instead of using saved copies.
- Open a private or incognito window and go to clash.gg. Private windows start with no cookies, no cache and (usually) no extensions. If it works there, you know the fix is cache, cookies or an extension.
- Pause your ad blocker and any script or privacy extension for clash.gg, then reload.
- Turn off any VPN, proxy or "secure browsing" feature in your antivirus, then reload.
- Clear site data for clash.gg only. You don't need to wipe your whole browser; just the one site.
- Try a different browser. Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari all handle the site; if one works and another doesn't, the broken one has a settings or extension problem.
- Restart your router if nothing on that network will load it.
Why each fix works
Knowing the "why" means next time you can jump straight to the fix instead of running the whole list.
Cached files after an update
Sites like Clash.gg are built from lots of script files. When they push an update, your browser may still hold the old version of some files and the new version of others. The two don't fit together, the main script crashes, and you get a blank or half-built page. A hard refresh or a private window sidesteps the old files. Clearing site data does the same thing more thoroughly.
Extensions blocking the wrong thing
Ad blockers and privacy tools work from lists of things to block. Gambling sites, tracking scripts, payment widgets and live chat tools all show up on those lists, and sometimes a block catches a script the site genuinely needs to run. The page then loads its shell but never starts. Allow-listing clash.gg in the extension, rather than turning the extension off everywhere, is the neatest fix.
Live connections being cut
Case battles, live drops, chat and game results all need a live connection that stays open between your browser and the site. VPNs, proxies, some antivirus web shields, school and work networks often close or interfere with that kind of connection. The result is a page that looks normal for a second, then freezes, or games that never get their result back. Switching to a plain home connection usually fixes it immediately.
Security checks that never finish
Many big sites sit behind a security service that sometimes shows a "checking your browser" page. If cookies are blocked, JavaScript is off, or your connection looks like a bot (common on shared VPN addresses), that check can loop forever. Allow cookies for the site, switch the VPN off, and give it a few seconds.
Your device struggling
The animations for cases, Plinko and the other games run inside your browser. On an older laptop with fifty tabs open and hardware acceleration switched off, they stutter or freeze. Close heavy tabs, make sure hardware acceleration is on in your browser settings, and update your browser and graphics driver.
Fixing specific symptoms
Different symptoms point to different causes. Find yours below.
| What you see | Most likely cause | Do this |
|---|---|---|
| Totally blank or white page | Old cached scripts, extension | Hard refresh, private window |
| Logo or spinner that never ends | Blocked script or live connection | Pause blockers, VPN off |
| "Checking your browser" loop | Cookies blocked, VPN address | Allow cookies, VPN off, wait |
| Page loads, games don't | Live connection cut | Different network, no proxy |
| Case or Plinko animation freezes | Device or browser struggling | Close tabs, acceleration on |
| Deposit window shows no skins | Steam inventory private or Steam down | Inventory public, check Steam |
| "Not available in your region" | The site's own rules | Respect it, use a legal option |
| Error on every device | Site-side outage or maintenance | Wait, check official channels |
When your Steam inventory won't load
This one confuses a lot of people because Clash.gg itself loads fine and only the deposit window is empty. Clash.gg needs to read your Steam inventory to show your skins, and Steam controls that.
- Make your inventory public. In Steam, go to your profile, Edit Profile, then Privacy Settings, and set Inventory to Public. Changes can take a few minutes to show on third-party sites.
- Check whether Steam is having a bad day. Steam has regular weekly maintenance and occasional outages, and when its inventory service is down, no skin site can read inventories. Community status pages and the Steam client itself will show you if things are wobbly.
- Check the item is tradable. Items with a trade cooldown or newly received items under Steam's 7-day Trade Protection can't be deposited until that period is over, so they may not appear.
- Refresh the inventory inside the deposit window, not just the page, if there's a refresh button.

When a game freezes mid-round
Panic is normal here, especially in a big case battle. Breathe. Game results are generated on Clash.gg's servers, not in your browser, so your browser crashing doesn't change what you won or lost. Reload the page and check your game history. If the history doesn't match what you expected, take a screenshot and grab the game ID before you contact support. Clash.gg's provably fair system also lets you check a result afterwards.
Network fixes when nothing else works
If clash.gg won't load on any browser on your home network but works on mobile data, the issue is the network itself.
- Restart your router. Old advice, still works. It gets you a fresh connection and clears the router's own memory.
- Change your DNS. Your internet provider's DNS server sometimes gives slow or stale answers. Switching your device to a well-known public DNS service often fixes sites that "just won't load" on one network.
- Check for filters. Some providers and many school, work and public Wi-Fi networks filter gambling sites on purpose. If that's the case, the network owner has decided you shouldn't use the site on their network. Don't work around it; wait until you're on your own connection.
- Parental controls and router-level filters also block gambling categories. If you set those up yourself, you'll know where to change them.
When it's not your fault
If clash.gg fails on both your PC and your phone on mobile data, the problem is almost certainly not on your end.
- Wait 15 to 30 minutes. Short outages and deploys usually clear up on their own.
- Check Clash.gg's official social channels for maintenance notices. Be careful to use the accounts linked from the real site, not random ones.
- Don't go hunting for "mirror" links. When a site is down, fake copies pop up in search ads and Discord messages to steal Steam logins and balances. Only type clash.gg into your address bar yourself.
- Contact support if it's down for hours or your balance looks wrong when it comes back.
Stay safe while you troubleshoot
Loading problems are exactly when scammers strike, because you're frustrated and clicking fast.
- Never log in with Steam through a page you reached from a DM, a comment or a "fix" link. Steam login pop-ups can be faked.
- Never install a browser extension that promises to "fix" a gambling site.
- Never give anyone your Steam Guard codes or your Steam Web API key. Nobody legit needs them to fix a loading problem.
- If you think you've been phished, change your Steam password, deauthorize other devices and check your API key page straight away. Our CS2 trading scams guide walks through the warning signs.

What to send support
If you've done everything above and it still won't play nice, contact support from any device that does load the site. A good report gets a faster answer. Include:
- Your device and operating system (for example, Windows 11 laptop or iPhone).
- Your browser and its version.
- Exactly what you see, with a screenshot of any error message.
- The time it happened, with your time zone.
- What you've already tried from this list.
- For a stuck game, the game ID and the amount.
Be patient and polite. Support teams get flooded during outages, and a clear, calm message gets handled faster than a wall of angry caps.
A word on taking breaks
If the site's down, that's a decent moment to step away. Nobody needs to open cases at 3 AM because a page finally loaded. Set a budget before you play, stick to it, and if you notice you're getting wound up about not being able to gamble, that's a sign worth paying attention to. Our responsible gambling page has free help if you want it.
