donk CS2 Settings and Playstyle
Updated October 10, 2026 · MyCS2Guru crew
Danil "donk" Kryshkovets burst onto the top level as a teenager with Team Spirit and immediately became one of the most feared riflers on the planet. His style is pure aggression: he takes space early, wins duels nobody expects him to take and racks up opening kills at a ridiculous rate. Spirit's run to a Major title in 2024 showed how much damage one player with his confidence can do.
Below you'll find donk's mouse and video setup, a breakdown of how he plays, what you can actually steal from his game and a training routine inspired by his style. One honest reminder before we start, bro: pro settings change often, sometimes match to match. Use these as a starting point.
donk at a glance
| Real name | Danil Kryshkovets |
|---|---|
| Team | Team Spirit (at time of writing) |
| Country | Russia |
| Main strengths | Aggression, opening kills, spray transfers |
Mouse settings
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| DPI | 800 |
| In-game sensitivity | 1.25 |
| eDPI | 1000 |
| Approx cm/360 | 41.6 cm |
| Zoom sensitivity | about 1.0 |
| Polling rate | 1000Hz or higher |
An eDPI of 1000 means a slightly higher sensitivity that favors fast reactions. Compare it to your own: multiply your DPI by your in-game sensitivity. If you're far off, it might be worth testing something closer, but only if you'll stick with it for a few weeks. Read our mouse settings guide for how to find your own.
Video settings
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Resolution | 1280x960 |
| Aspect ratio | 4:3 stretched |
| Boost player contrast | Enabled |
| Shadows | High |
| Shaders / particles | Low |
| V-Sync | Disabled |
Like most pros, he plays 4:3 stretched, which makes player models wider and gives more FPS. See our video settings guide to choose your own.
Crosshair
Like nearly every top player, donk uses a small static crosshair with a high-contrast color. Exact codes change regularly, so the easiest approach is to grab his current code from a recent match demo or his social posts and import it via Settings, Game, Crosshair, Share or Import. Then test it on your maps using our crosshair settings guide.
How donk plays
donk plays like the entry fragger of your dreams. He swings first, often wide, trusts his counter-strafes completely and transfers sprays across multiple enemies in a single burst. On CT side he's just as aggressive, pushing for early information and kills rather than sitting back. What makes it work isn't just aim, it's how fast he processes a fight and moves on to the next target.
What to steal from donk
- His 1,000 eDPI sits right in the middle of the pro range. If you're struggling with a very low or very high sens, try something close to his.
- His aggressive spacing works because his teammates trade him. In pugs, aggressive plays only work if someone's ready behind you, so call your push.
- Watch how quickly he resets after each kill. He never stands still admiring the frag.
What to skip
- Don't copy his aggression without the aim to back it up. If you're dying first every round, slow down.
- Don't copy his resolution if you've played 16:9 for years and hit your shots. Change only if you're willing to adjust for a couple of weeks.
Train like donk: a 20-minute routine
- Daily FFA deathmatch focusing on spray transfers: kill one enemy, keep firing, move to the next.
- Prefire maps for your main maps at full speed, then try to clear them faster each run.
- Review one demo a week and count your opening duels. Are you winning more than half?
Run this a few times a week alongside our aim training routine. Settings help, but habits make players like donk who they are.

What you can actually copy from donk
Copying donk's sensitivity won't give you his reactions. But a few parts of his game are learnable:
- Pre-aiming common spots. donk's crosshair is almost always already where an enemy will appear. Practice this on prefire maps and by walking your main map offline, keeping your crosshair glued to the next likely angle.
- Confidence in duels. He takes fights decisively instead of half-peeking and hesitating. In your own games, decide before you peek: are you taking this fight or not?
- Movement between fights. He repositions constantly. After a kill, don't stand still. Move to a new angle.
- Spray transfers. He often kills two players in one spray. Practice transferring your AK spray between bots on a wall.
Why his sensitivity is on the higher side
Many entry-style riflers prefer slightly higher sensitivity for fast reactions at close range. If you play an aggressive entry role and feel slow turning to new angles, testing a small sensitivity increase can help. If you mostly hold angles, you might be better at a lower sensitivity. Our mouse settings guide explains how to test it properly.
