CSGOEmpire vs CSGORoll: Which Skin Site Is Better?
Updated · By the MyCS2Guru Editorial Team

Bro, CSGOEmpire and CSGORoll are two of the oldest names in CS skin gambling, and both have huge communities. They look similar from a distance (roulette-style games, cases, battles, a P2P skin market) but the rules behind them are quite different. We went through Empire's help centre and CSGORoll's FAQ to compare what actually matters: licence, house edge, rewards, withdrawals and verification.

Quick verdict
- CSGOEmpire is our pick where it's available: a Curaçao licence, published house edges (including a 0.5% coinflip), a clear daily case pool, zero skin trading fees and direct crypto withdrawals.
- CSGORoll suits players who want crash, community-built cases and a deep rank system, and who are fine with ID checks before playing and a split between Roll Coins and Roll Chips.

Licence and trust
CSGOEmpire's help centre says it holds a Curaçao gambling licence, viewable through the footer badge, and is run by Moonrail Limited in Curaçao. The site dates back to 2015.
CSGORoll's FAQ takes the opposite approach. It says it doesn't have a Curaçao licence because it doesn't consider itself a gambling website in the places it targets, and that it self-regulates with KYC, self-exclusion and terms enforcement. It's operated by Max Stacks Limited in Nevis, with payments handled by a Cyprus company.
If a licence matters to you, Empire has one; Roll doesn't. Both advertise provably fair systems.
House edge: Empire publishes, Roll explains
Empire's help centre lists exact figures:
| Game | Empire house edge |
|---|---|
| Coinflip | 0.5% |
| Roulette | 6.66% |
| Cases and case battles | 8.8% |
A 0.5% coinflip is about as low as it gets in this space.
CSGORoll's FAQ explains that XP equals amount played × house edge × 100, so higher-edge games earn more XP. That tells you edges differ by game, but we didn't find one published table in the FAQ. Check each game's info before playing.

Rewards compared
CSGOEmpire's daily case pool is simple to understand. 25% of the house edge on roulette, cases, battles and coinflip (5% on match bets) goes into your pool. Each day you can open a low, medium or high-risk case worth your daily claim, or cash out 90% of it. The claim is 5% of your pool, and missed days are lost. On top of that, XP earns bonus cases across seven tiers from Rust to Unbreakable.
CSGORoll's rank system is more elaborate. Its FAQ says you get 180 "Opens" on each rank-up to spend on daily free cases (high tier costs 6, medium 2, low 1). Run out and you can try to "picklock" each case once a day, with lower chances if you don't rank up. Ascension resets your rank for a coin bonus and permanent upgrades. Rakeback, Rain, races, gems and a faucet add more.
Empire's system rewards steady play in a predictable way. Roll's system has more layers, and its FAQ is honest that players who never play see their free chances drop a lot.
Withdrawals
CSGOEmpire: crypto in 12 coins (BTC, LTC, BCH, ETH, USDT, USDC, SOL, XRP, DOGE, TRX, BNB, POL), with LTC, BCH, SOL, XRP, BNB, TRX and POL listed as always instant. Cash or crypto deposits must be wagered before a crypto withdrawal; skin deposits don't. Skins can be withdrawn any time via the P2P market with 0% trading fees.
CSGORoll: its FAQ says Roll Chips can be redeemed for crypto and come from Rain, rakeback, gemstones, races and the faucet. Roll Coins can't be turned into Chips and are only for CS2 skins. It also has a daily skin request allowance of up to 1,000 coins above your top-ups for the day, with manual approval beyond that.
For crypto cash-outs, Empire's route is far more direct.
Trade protection and reversals
Both sites adapted to Steam's 7-day trade protection with instant credit tiers:
- Empire: ten tiers from 0 up to 20,000 coins, plus 50% of your daily reward pool. Tiers 2 to 10 need level 40+.
- CSGORoll: eight tiers from 0 up to 12,500 coins.
Both punish reversals hard. Empire says anyone who reverses a trade may be permanently banned from its marketplace. CSGORoll's FAQ says a receiver who reverses faces a penalty of 30% to 100% of the trade value, and a lister who reverses faces a 30-day Steam trade ban plus locked rewards if instant coins were used.
Verification
CSGORoll is strict: its FAQ says it has required ID verification before anyone can play since 2024, plus a check once 2,000 coins have been topped up.
CSGOEmpire usually asks for KYC after 4,500 coins of crypto withdrawals, with ID and a proof of address from the last 90 days, though its security system can ask sooner.
Country access
CSGOEmpire blocks a long list in its terms, including the US and its territories, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Spain and the Netherlands. CSGORoll's FAQ says its esports offering isn't available where prohibited and that users must follow local laws; check its terms for your country.
Game menus
CSGOEmpire keeps things focused: roulette, coinflip, cases, case battles with EOS-blockchain fairness, and match betting on esports and football, all next to its big P2P skin market. We didn't find crash or casino-style games in its help centre.
CSGORoll's FAQ describes a wider menu: case battles (including Crazy Mode, where the lowest total wins, and Early Cashout), Roll with a Triple Green bonus pool, Crash with live or fixed cash-out, a minesweeper-style game called Cluck 'N' Boom, community cases players build themselves, and esports match offerings.
If you like a small set of games with published numbers, Empire fits. If you want lots of different modes, Roll has more.
A week on each, roughly
Imagine you play 1,000 coins a week on roulette-style games.
- On Empire roulette (6.66% edge), the expected cost is about 67 coins, and around 17 of those go back into your daily case pool to claim over the following days. Move to coinflip and the expected cost drops to about 5 coins.
- On CSGORoll, you'd earn XP in proportion to the game's edge, climb ranks, and unlock daily free "Opens". The value depends heavily on how often you play and rank up, so it's harder to estimate in advance.
Neither turns gambling into profit, but Empire's numbers are easier to plan around.
Which should you choose?
| You want... | Pick |
|---|---|
| A licensed site | CSGOEmpire |
| Lowest published edge (coinflip 0.5%) | CSGOEmpire |
| Direct crypto withdrawals | CSGOEmpire |
| Zero-fee P2P skin trading | CSGOEmpire |
| Crash and community cases | CSGORoll |
| A deep rank and Ascension system | CSGORoll |
Bottom line
Where it's available, CSGOEmpire is our pick: licensed, transparent about house edges and easy to cash out from. CSGORoll is a solid alternative with more features, but its two-currency setup and ID-first approach won't suit everyone. Start with the free case using FREECASES4U and see how you like Empire.
