CSGOEmpire vs RustClash: Which Site Fits Your Skins?
Updated · By the MyCS2Guru Editorial Team

Bro, this comparison comes up a lot, but these two sites are really built for different games. CSGOEmpire is one of the biggest names in CS2 skin gambling. RustClash is built around Rust skins. If you're trying to decide where to play, the first question isn't "which is better", it's "which skins do you actually have and want?" Here's the full breakdown from both sites' own terms, covering who runs them, how the money works, the games, the free stuff and where you can legally play.

Quick verdict
- CS2 player in a country Empire accepts? CSGOEmpire. It's CS2-first, with roulette, coinflip, cases, battles, match betting and a zero-fee P2P CS2 skin market.
- Rust player? RustClash is the one built for your skins.
- CS2 player in the US? Empire blocks the US. RustClash's operator also runs Clash.gg, the CS2 site we recommend for US players in most states.

Who runs each site
CSGOEmpire is run by Moonrail Limited, located in Curaçao, and its help centre says it holds a Curaçao gambling licence. The founder, known as Monarch, started the site in 2015.
RustClash's terms (updated January 26, 2026) say it's owned and operated by Rust Clash Entertainment Ltd at Thermistokli Dervi 48 in Nicosia, Cyprus. That's the same company and address listed in Clash.gg's rules, so RustClash and Clash.gg are sister sites under one operator, and their terms read very similarly. RustClash's terms are governed by Cyprus law.
How the money works
CSGOEmpire uses Empire Coins. You deposit skins, crypto or cash methods, play, and withdraw skins (no wagering needed) or crypto in 12 coins (cash or crypto deposits must be wagered first). Empire publishes its edges: coinflip 0.5%, roulette 6.66%, cases and battles 8.8%.
RustClash runs a sweepstakes model, like Clash.gg:
- Gold Coins for Play Mode: can be bought or earned, can't be redeemed, no real-money value.
- Gems for Gem Mode: can't be purchased; you get them from a daily login bonus, promotions (including as a bonus with Gold Coin purchases) and a free mail-in method.
- Only Gem Mode games give the chance to redeem prizes.
Its redemption rules say only prizes can be redeemed, the balance must be fully played through, redemptions go only to the account holder, and KYC is required for crypto redemptions from fiat deposits.
Games compared
CSGOEmpire focuses on a tight set of CS2 games: roulette, coinflip, cases, case battles (EOS-blockchain fairness) and match betting, plus its P2P skin marketplace.
RustClash's terms describe case battles for two to six players, where the best item takes everyone's prizes; an upgrader where you choose the odds (which sets the cost) and can take the item's value or have it sent to Steam; and its Rain reward. The site itself lists more modes for Rust players.
Free value compared
CSGOEmpire:
- Free case on sign-up with FREECASES4U.
- Daily case pool: 25% of the house edge on roulette, cases, battles and coinflip goes in; claim 5% of it daily or cash out 90% of the claim.
- XP bonus cases from Rust tier up to Unbreakable.
RustClash, per its terms:
- Rain every 30 minutes: a base of 25 credits plus a percentage of site spend, split equally among users over level 10 or KYC-verified.
- Daily login bonus for Gold Coins and Gems.
- Mail-in entry: verified users can claim 7.25 Gems by post, or 1,000 seasonal raffle tickets, processed within 14 US working days.
Where you can play
CSGOEmpire's terms block the US and its territories, UK, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands and others.
RustClash's terms offer its services in the United States except Idaho, Montana, Michigan, Nevada and Washington, and in New York and Florida the maximum redemption per play is $5,000. Users must be 18+ (or the age of majority). Check your own state and country rules before signing up anywhere.
For CS2 players in the US
If you're a CS2 player in the US, Empire isn't an option. Since RustClash's operator also runs Clash.gg, its CS2 sister site, that's where we'd point you: same company, same sweepstakes-style rules, but built for CS2 skins with battles, upgrades, jackpot and more. Rust skins vs CS2 skins: why it matters
It's easy to assume all Steam skins work the same, but the two markets behave differently:
- Market size: CS2 has a much bigger skin economy, with more buyers and sellers, which usually means easier trading and more stable prices for popular items.
- Item types: CS2 skins vary by wear, float and pattern, which can change value a lot. Rust skins are mostly about the design and how many exist.
- Where you can use them: a site built for one game won't usually accept the other game's skins as a main deposit method, and even when it does, it may value them differently.
- Trade rules: both go through Steam, so Steam's trade protection and Steam Guard requirements apply either way.
If your inventory is mostly CS2 skins, depositing on a CS2-first site like Empire gets you the most options, including selling on its P2P market with 0% trading fees. If your inventory is Rust skins, a Rust-first site is the natural home.
What the house edge looks like
CSGOEmpire publishes its edges clearly, which makes it easy to compare games: 0.5% on coinflip, 6.66% on roulette and 8.8% on cases and battles. RustClash's terms say every outcome is generated by its provably fair system, and like Clash.gg, it shows each game's details on the site. We didn't find one published edge table in its terms, so check the odds shown in each game before you play.
Safety basics on either site
- Log in only through the real Steam page and never share your Steam API key.
- RustClash's terms say trades need Steam Guard active for at least 15 days on your phone; Empire also relies on Steam trades, so set it up early.
- Turn on two-factor protection where offered (Empire has its own 2FA).
- Never reverse a trade; Empire may permanently ban reversers from its marketplace.
- Use self-exclusion if you need it; RustClash links a self-exclusion policy in its terms, and Empire offers a "Take a break" self-lock.
