CS2 Knife Tier List: Every Knife Model Ranked
Updated · MyCS2Guru crew

Every bro wants a knife. But which one? Here's our CS2 knife tier list, ranking every model by looks, animations, popularity and value. Remember: no knife changes gameplay, so this is all about style.
How we rank
- Look: how the blade reads in first person and inspect.
- Animations: draw, inspect and attack animations.
- Popularity: demand and recognition in the community.
- Value for money: what you get at each price level.

The tier list
| Tier | Knives |
|---|---|
| S | Karambit, Butterfly Knife, M9 Bayonet |
| A | Talon, Skeleton, Stiletto, Bayonet |
| B | Flip, Kukri, Nomad, Huntsman, Classic, Ursus |
| C | Bowie, Falchion, Paracord, Survival |
| D | Shadow Daggers, Gut, Navaja |
Taste matters. Plenty of players love "D-tier" knives; this list reflects general community opinion and value.
S tier
Karambit: curved claw blade, iconic inspect spin. The most recognisable CS knife ever. Expensive across all finishes.
Butterfly Knife: endless flips and fidget-friendly animations. Arguably the most fun to inspect. Premium prices.
M9 Bayonet: big military blade, clean lines, shows finishes beautifully. Slightly cheaper than the other two.
A tier
Talon: Karambit-style curve with a ring spin. Many call it the best value "premium" knife.
Skeleton: skeletal frame, unique flick animations, distinctive look.
Stiletto: sleek switchblade with a snappy flip. Clean and modern.
Bayonet: the classic. Simple, timeless, often cheaper than M9.
B tier
Flip: compact, popular, smooth flip inspect. Good finish display.
Kukri: heavy curved blade added in CS2 era (with the Kilowatt Case). Bold look at a lower price.
Nomad: tactical folder with a satisfying open.
Huntsman: big serrated blade. Shows bright finishes well.
Classic: the original CS knife, nostalgic, clean.
Ursus: chunky folder, underrated value.
C tier
Bowie: huge blade, fun but bulky inspect.
Falchion: decent flip, but less popular.
Paracord / Survival: rugged tactical style, budget-friendly.
D tier
Shadow Daggers: dual push daggers. Small on screen, often the cheapest knife.
Gut: hooked blade, short animations.
Navaja: small folder, cheapest-feeling inspect.
These are the most affordable way to get a knife, so if you just want the gold star in your inventory, they're perfect.
Best knife by budget
- Cheapest possible: Shadow Daggers, Navaja, Gut.
- Low budget, good look: Kukri, Huntsman, Ursus, Paracord.
- Mid budget: Talon, Stiletto, Skeleton, Flip, Bayonet.
- Premium: Karambit, Butterfly, M9 Bayonet.
Finish vs model
A cheap finish on an S-tier knife can cost more than a premium finish on a D-tier knife. Decide what matters: the model's animation or the finish's colours? Popular finishes include Doppler, Gamma Doppler, Fade, Tiger Tooth and Case Hardened.
