Updated October 2026 · MyCS2Guru crew

Stacks of poker chips, the more you wager the more you level up

Ever wondered why your CSGOEmpire level climbs fast on roulette but barely moves on coinflip, bro? It's all XP maths. Here's how CSGOEmpire levels, XP, bonus cases and daily cases work, with the numbers straight from CSGOEmpire's help centre.

18+ only. CSGOEmpire excludes the US, UK, Australia and many other countries. Responsible gambling.

XP per Empire Coin, by game

Every coin you bet earns XP, and your total XP sets your level. Per CSGOEmpire's help centre:

GameXP per 1 Empire Coin bet
Roulette100
Cases & case battles88
Match bet combo or system50 (any odds)
Match bet single or Bet Builder25 (any odds)
Coinflip10
"Free money", "no risk", "bet refund" bets0
Bets voided/refunded to 1.00 odds0

Match betting XP lands once a bet fully settles. If a combo becomes a single because legs were cancelled, it only earns the single rate (25). Cashed-out bets earn the same XP rates.

Why the rates differ

The rates roughly track how much the house earns per coin on each game. CSGOEmpire's daily cases article lists house edges of 6.66% on roulette, 8.8% on cases and battles, 0.5% on coinflip and 4% on match betting. Roulette and cases pay out more XP because they cost more per coin on average. Coinflip barely earns XP because its edge is tiny.

Bro takeaway: high XP isn't a "bonus"; it's a sign the game costs more. Don't switch to roulette just to level faster.

Bonus case tiers and cooldowns

Levels give you keys for bonus cases. There are 7 tiers:

TierCooldown
Rust1 hour
Bronze2 hours
Silver3 hours
Gold6 hours
Diamond6 hours
Uranium6 hours
Unbreakable6 hours

Keys earned for levels below Rust still give a Rust key. Exact XP per level and keys per level are shown by the info icon next to "Bonus Cases" on the site.

Daily cases: the pool system

CSGOEmpire replaced its old daily coins with a daily case system. Here's how it works per the help centre:

  • When you bet on roulette, cases, battles or coinflip, 25% of the house edge goes into your daily case pool (5% for match bets).
  • Every 24 hours you can open a low, medium or high-risk case, or cash out 90% of your daily claim instantly.
  • Your daily claim is worth 5% of your pool. Miss a day and that day's 5% is lost.
  • You need at least 0.20 coins in your pool to generate a daily case.

Worked examples (from the help centre)

100 coins bet on...Added to daily pool
Roulette (6.66% edge)1.665 coins
Cases / battles (8.8% edge)2.2 coins
Match betting (4% edge)0.2 coins
Coinflip (0.5% edge)0.125 coins

So for every 100 coins on roulette, the house expects to make 6.66 coins and gives about a quarter of that back into your pool, released slowly over time. It's a rebate, not a profit source.

How to use levels and daily cases smartly

  1. Claim FREECASES4U for your free case before anything else.
  2. Claim daily if you play regularly, since unclaimed days are lost.
  3. Cash out 90% if you want certainty; open low-risk cases if you want a small gamble; high-risk only for fun.
  4. Open bonus cases when cooldowns end, but don't log in just to grind them.
  5. Never pick games for XP. Pick them for fun and budget.

Common misconceptions

  • "Higher level = better odds." No. Levels unlock rewards, not better game odds.
  • "Coinflip is bad because it gives little XP." It gives little XP because it has a tiny edge. That's actually good for your balance.
  • "Daily cases are free money." They're funded by your own wagering's house edge.
  • "I can farm XP with refunds." Refunded, voided and free bets earn 0 XP.

Bottom line

CSGOEmpire levels are driven by XP per coin, and the rates mirror each game's house edge. Enjoy the bonus and daily cases as a rebate on play you'd do anyway, and never chase XP. More: CSGOEmpire review, roulette strategy.

How much XP do you need?

CSGOEmpire shows the exact XP required for each level, and how many keys each level gives, by the info icon next to "Bonus Cases" on the site. We don't reproduce the table here because it can change, but the pattern is the same as most loyalty systems: early levels come quickly, later levels need far more XP.

To get a feel for it, think in coins wagered. Because roulette gives 100 XP per coin, 1,000 coins on roulette earns 100,000 XP. The same 1,000 coins on cases earns 88,000 XP, on single match bets 25,000 XP and on coinflip 10,000 XP. That's why roulette players level up much faster than coinflip players with the same budget.

What it costs to level, in expected terms

Let's connect XP to house edge with the help centre's own numbers. Wagering 1,000 coins on roulette at a 6.66% edge costs about 66.6 coins on average and earns 100,000 XP. Wagering 1,000 coins on coinflip at 0.5% costs about 5 coins on average and earns 10,000 XP. Per coin of expected loss, roulette gives about 1,500 XP and coinflip about 2,000 XP. In other words, coinflip is actually slightly more XP-efficient relative to what it costs you, even though it gives far less XP per coin bet. Neither is a way to profit; it just shows that "XP per coin" can be misleading.

A sensible levelling mindset

  • Pick games for enjoyment and budget, then let XP happen.
  • Open bonus cases when you're on the site anyway, rather than logging in every hour.
  • Claim your daily case each day you'd visit, because missed days are lost.
  • Track your real result (deposits minus withdrawals), not your level. A high level with a big net loss isn't a win.
  • Set a monthly budget and stop when it's gone, regardless of how close the next level is.

Levels and match betting

If you mostly bet on CS2 matches, note that XP is only credited once bets settle, combos give double the single rate, and free or refunded bets give none. That means a player who places lots of small combos levels faster than one who places careful singles, but combos are also harder to win. Don't let XP push you towards longer combos. See our CSGOEmpire match betting guide for bet types.

Quick recap

XP comes from coins wagered, at rates that mirror each game's house edge. Levels unlock bonus case keys across seven tiers, and a quarter of the house edge from most games refills your daily case pool. Treat all of it as a small rebate on play you'd do anyway. Never chase a level, never switch games for XP and always claim your daily case on days you're already playing. Remember CSGOEmpire isn't available in the US, UK, Australia and other restricted countries, so check eligibility before you start.
