How to Execute B Site on Ancient as T

Updated October 10, 2026 · MyCS2Guru crew

B on Ancient is a strong T-side target. The site is close to the B main entrance and can be split through Cave if you have mid. Here's a full execute.

The setup

Player 4Mid / CaveSplit from Cave
Player 5SupportUtility

Utility

UtilityPurpose
Smoke CT side of BBlocks rotations
Smoke Cave exitCuts off CT angle
Flashes onto siteBlinds defenders
Molotov PillarClears close CT

Step by step

  1. Smokes together.
  2. Molotov Pillar.
  3. Flash and enter.
  4. Cave player splits.
  5. Plant and post-plant.

Post-plant

Hold from B Main and Cave. Keep a molotov for the defuse.

Common mistakes

  1. Smokes at different times.
  2. No split.
  3. Planting with no plan.

Practice drill

Practice both smokes until automatic.

Example round

Smokes land, Pillar is mollied, flashes pop. Three Ts enter B Main while one comes through Cave. Two CTs die. The bomb goes down. Ts hold from Main and Cave, and molly the bomb to stop the defuse. Round won.

Step-by-step execute

  1. Set up quietly. Four players gather in B Main without making noise. One player waits in Cave.
  2. Throw smokes together. The CT smoke blocks rotations and the deep CT angle. The second smoke cuts off a common hold.
  3. Molotov Pillar or the close spot. Force out the CT hiding close to the entrance.
  4. Pop flash. The flasher throws over the entrance so it pops as the entry swings.
  5. Entry and trade. The entry takes the first fight; the second player is right behind to trade.
  6. Cave split. The Cave player swings at the same time to catch CTs looking at B Main.
  7. Plant safe. Plant behind cover so teammates can hold the bomb from B Main and Cave.

Post-plant setup

  • One player in B Main watching the bomb from distance.
  • One player in Cave covering the rotation.
  • One player on site in a safe spot with a molotov ready for the defuse.
  • Remaining players watching flanks.

Save a molotov for the bomb. When you hear the defuse, throw it.

Variations

  • Fast B: on force buys, skip the full utility and rush with two flashes and one smoke.
  • Mid to B split: take mid control first, then hit B from mid and B Main together.
  • Fake A, hit B: throw a couple of A smokes, make noise, then rotate to B.

Common mistakes

  1. Smokes at different times. CTs see through the gaps.
  2. Entry going before the flash. Wait for the pop.
  3. Cave player too early. Time the split with the main push.
  4. Planting in the open. Plant where teammates can cover you.
  5. No post-plant utility. Keep one molly for the defuse.

What the CTs will try

CTs often push B Main early with a molotov or flash to break the execute before it starts. If you hear them coming, hold back, let the utility burn and punish the push. If they stack B, call a fake and hit A.

Practice tip

Walk through the execute in a private match until smokes and flashes land together.
