Best CS2 Skin Trading Sites: Where We Trade and Why
Updated October 2026 · MyCS2Guru crew

There are a lot of places to trade CS2 skins, bro, and plenty of them are sketchy. We keep it simple: the Steam Community Market for Steam Wallet trades, plus our two partner sites, CSGOEmpire (P2P marketplace) and Clash.gg, for cash-value skin trading. Here's how each works, what it costs and how to trade safely.
18+ for gambling sites. CSGOEmpire and Clash.gg also offer gambling. Trade responsibly. Responsible gambling.

1. Steam Community Market
The default place to buy and sell skins. Safe and integrated with Steam, but the money stays in Steam.
- Pros: safest option, huge liquidity, instant purchases.
- Cons: funds can't be cashed out, Steam's fee is included in every sale, and purchased items have trade cooldowns.
Best when you want to buy a skin with Steam Wallet money or sell to fund games.
2. CSGOEmpire P2P marketplace (our top pick)
CSGOEmpire's marketplace is peer-to-peer: users list skins, other users buy them with balance, and the seller sends the item directly via Steam trade.
How to sell:
- Sign in with Steam and set your trade URL.
- List a skin at the suggested price or adjust it.
- When a buyer purchases, send the trade promptly to the buyer the site shows you.
- Confirm in the Steam Mobile app. Balance is credited once the trade completes.
How to buy:
- Add balance via skins, crypto or cash methods.
- Pick a skin from the marketplace.
- Accept the incoming trade from the seller.
Pros: huge selection, cash-value balance, crypto withdrawals. Cons: country restrictions (US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and others), and P2P trades rely on the other user.
3. Clash.gg
Clash.gg lets you deposit skins for balance and withdraw skins from its store or crypto. It's mainly a case site, but useful for moving value in and out. Some players report store prices sitting above market, so compare before withdrawing.
Which should you use?
| Goal | Use |
|---|---|
| Buy a skin with Steam Wallet money | Steam Market |
| Sell a skin for withdrawable value | CSGOEmpire P2P |
| Swap a skin for a different skin at cash value | CSGOEmpire P2P |
| Cash out skins to crypto | CSGOEmpire or Clash.gg |
| Turn skins into balance for cases | Clash.gg |

Pricing tips
- Compare the site's price with the Steam Market (minus fees) before selling.
- Popular, liquid skins sell faster and closer to fair value.
- Stickers and floats may not be priced in, so sell special items carefully.
Bottom line
Use the Steam Market for Steam Wallet trades, and CSGOEmpire's P2P marketplace (or Clash.gg) when you want value you can withdraw. Keep your account secure and check every trade.
Fees and value: how to compare
When comparing where to sell a skin, look at what you actually end up with:
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| What price will the skin sell for? | Listing price vs real selling price |
| What fee is taken? | Steam's fee, or the site's fee |
| What can I do with the money? | Steam Wallet is spend-only, while site balance can be withdrawn |
| How fast does it sell? | Popular skins sell quickly, niche ones can sit |
| What does withdrawal cost? | Crypto network fees, or store pricing for skins |
Example thinking: a skin selling for $10 on the Steam Market gives you Steam Wallet funds after Steam's fee, which you can only spend on Steam. Selling it on a P2P market might give you a bit less in headline price but as withdrawable balance. Which is "better" depends on whether you want Steam games or cash value.
Step-by-step: your first P2P sale on CSGOEmpire

- Choose a skin that's tradable (not Trade Protected).
- List it, and check the suggested price against the Steam Market.
- Wait for a buyer. Keep notifications on.
- Send the trade to the exact buyer shown, and confirm it in the Steam app.
- Get balance once the trade completes, then withdraw as crypto or buy another skin.

- Listing Trade Protected items that can't be sent.
- Not responding to a buyer quickly on P2P markets.
- Selling rare floats or stickers at base price.
- Using lookalike domains.
- Accepting trades from the wrong profile.
- Forgetting withdrawal costs when comparing prices.
